Provisioning large numbers of xapi based security appliances

FCG 3000 (Grant McWilliams, Sound Linux Training and Consulting) - Due to mandatory PCI and HIPAA compliance companies have to maintain a certain level of security. FCG provisions appliances into customer networks and provides automated security scanning and/or interactive penetration testing services to ensure security compliance. The product encompasses physical, virtual and cloud appliances using the Xen hypervisor and XAPI managed via a custom build system and saltstack. The product build system is designed to provide 1000s of appliances provisioned into customer networks with very little interaction from a build engineer. Grant McWilliams, from Sound Linux Training and Consulting - Chief Product Engineer will provide an overview on how the physical appliances are built as well as spawning cloud instances on the fly.
